Introduction to the EC Comics:

EC Comics was a publisher of comic books in the United States from the 1940s to the 1950s. The company was known for producing some of the most influential and controversial comics of the era, including titles such as Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror, and Weird Science. These comics were notable for their use of graphic violence, horror, and other mature themes that were not commonly found in comic books of the time.

EC Comics was founded by Max Gaines, who had previously been involved in the creation of Superman. Under Gaines’ leadership, the company began producing comic books that were aimed at older readers and tackled more mature subject matter.
